CHILDREN TODAY THANKS TTA FOR RAISING OVER £75,000 IN 20 YEARS OF SUPPORT

Children Today would like to say a big thank you to The Tile Association (TTA) for its continued valuable support. This year the charity is celebrating not only its 30th birthday but also a 20-year relationship between Children Today and TTA, marking 2024 as a significant milestone.

In that time TTA and its members have collectively raised more than £75,000 for Children Today, meaning thousands of disabled children and their families have received life-changing equipment and vital support.

This year’s TTA Awards saw the return of its much-loved charity auction, raising a phenomenal £13,000 and bringing the total amount raised on the night to £14,321.60.  The charity auction would be impossible without the generosity of all who bidded and of course the support of its prize donors – this year consisting of ASCER, Banks & LLoyd (Shipping) Ltd, Domus, Topps Tiles and UltraTile. The 2024 prize list includes a custom Villarreal Football Club shirt, a 4-ball at the Belfry, full hospitality seats at the Old Trafford, a weekday sailing on a luxury yacht, and VIP seats for a Leicester Tigers game.

Kay Porter, Chief Executive Officer of The Tile Association, comments: ‘The Tile Association is incredibly proud of the significant sum it has been able to raise for Children Today over twenty years of close support. At the heart of TTA’s activity as a not-for-profit trade association is a belief that working together uplifts everyone involved, a principle that extends to our charitable endeavours.

‘Each year our main fundraiser event, TTA Awards, celebrates excellence and innovation in the tiling industry. It is great to see how this platform not only promotes the best of the tiling industry but also gives back, helping Children Today to support disabled children and young adults to lead fuller, more independent lives.’
